# Quick start

Youcognito works in any modern browser. Nothing to install, no account needed to look around.

![Youcognito on a phone](https://1924833426-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FCqWj8dmEA5qQbnu5q8dd%2Fuploads%2Fgit-blob-0fa07e1f669cfd705c20bee249e79fb4975fbf40%2Fhome-mobile-v2.png?alt=media)

## 1. Open the app

Go to [youcognito.com](https://youcognito.com), or open **Youcognito** inside Farcaster (see [Web app or Farcaster Mini App](/youcognito-docs/getting-started/web-or-mini-app.md)).

{% hint style="info" %}
If X shows a warning when you tap the app link, use [linktr.ee/youcognito](https://linktr.ee/youcognito) instead. See the [FAQ](/youcognito-docs/project/faq.md#why-does-x-warn-about-the-link).
{% endhint %}

## 2. Ask Youcog something

Type a question into **Mission** and tap **Run Youcog**. Youcog searches the web for you and writes a short brief with its sources. Tap a source to read it in a **sealed tab**.

Not sure what to ask? Try a suggestion, like *"What is the YOUCOG token on Base?"* or *"Summarize today's Base news"*.

## 3. Claim your daily YOUCOG

Open **Daily YOUCOG faucet**, enter your Base address (or use your connected wallet in Farcaster), pick **840**, **2,222** or **13,938**, and tap **Claim**. It is a small gift while supplies last. Consecutive days add a streak bonus. See [Daily faucet and streaks](/youcognito-docs/features/faucet.md).

## 4. Burn when you're done

Tap **Burn**, then **Erase now**. Your session is gone. See [Burn your session](/youcognito-docs/features/burn.md).

## 5. Say hi

Join us on Telegram at [t.me/Youcognito](https://t.me/Youcognito) or [t.me/YoucogChat](https://t.me/YoucogChat), follow [@Youcognito on X](https://x.com/Youcognito), and join Farcaster with Andy's invite link: [farcaster.xyz/\~/code/PLSJOT](https://farcaster.xyz/~/code/PLSJOT). Only trust links on the [Official links](/youcognito-docs/getting-started/official-links.md) page.

**Optional: share feedback.** After your first faucet claim, open the feedback survey from the home page and answer 10 quick questions (about 3 minutes). See [Share feedback](/youcognito-docs/features/feedback-survey.md).
